MY BEST FRIEND IS GETTING MARRIED! 🍾
Since 2013, Kisia Jean and I have been inseparable. We’ve been there for each other through joy, heartbreak, and some of life’s biggest moments. Now at the top of the list is helping capture her proposal.
Ben reached out to me and told me he was ready to propose and wanted me to capture the moment. We immediately started brewing up a plan. It started with Ben telling Kisia he had booked me for some couple's photos since she said she had been saying she wanted more photos together. We met at The Old Mill in Little Rock, Arkansas. I knew she would likely be suspicious, so instead of immediately doing the proposal, we first took photos for nearly half an hour. Before we wrapped up, I said I had one more spot I wanted to take a few before we left.
This is where it gets good...
After placing Kisia and Ben back-to-back and sneakily slipping him the ring, I told them to turn around and act like it was their first time seeing each other in weeks.
In the excitement of getting down on one knee, the engagement ring went flying, and Ben was met with a very confused and unhappy-looking Kisia who was staring down at an empty ring box. After a few seconds, we call heard a *tink* as the ring bounced off the rocks and came only a few inches from landing in the water.
As Ben scrambled for the ring and a Kisia realized the proposal was the real deal instead of a prank, she very happily said yes!
While it may not have gone *exactly* as we had imagined, they have a great story to tell their grandkids one day!
Watching her say "yes" to the man of her dreams will always be a core memory. I’ve known since the moment she told me about Ben that he was her forever.
