Mr & Mrs Jones: Wedding at The Barn at Big Oak Hill Ranch

Kaitlyn and Joseph's love story begins almost as romantic as mine and my husband's did. Ours was mud riding and playing guitar in a gas station parking lot. Theirs was working in a shop and then stopping for corn dogs at the travel center. Maybe it's a Southern boy thing, but clearly, their grand gestures of wooing women work!

Yesterday, this beautiful couple said "I do" in front of a gorgeous pond with perfect weather at The Barn at Big Oak Hill Ranch in Magnolia, Arkansas. After a week of almost freezing temperatures, we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day with temps in the 70s, beautiful blue skies, and a jaw-dropping sunset to finish off the day.

I had the pleasure of meeting Kaitlyn and Joseph earlier this year for their engagement session at Lake Bistineau in Webster Parish, Louisiana. They were so easygoing and fun to work with, so I knew their wedding day would be more of the same.

The entire day was beautiful and relaxed, but here are a few of my favorite moments:

First, Kaitlyn did a first look with her bridesmaids. While I've done these before, this may have ben the first time that none of the bridesmaids had any idea what her dress looked like. Their reactions were so genuine and sweet to watch them ooh and ahh over her!

Secondly, Kaitlyn and Joseph didn't want to see each other before the ceremony, but they chose to have a private moment to exchange vows. We placed them back-to-back where they wouldn't see each other, and they read their vows to one another and then exchanged gifts. It was such an intimate moment that set the tone for the rest of the day.

Of course, this day would not have been possible without a team of amazing vendors. I loved working alongside many outstanding businesses and wedding vendors from southern Arkansas and surrounding areas. I have to give a special shoutout to Bryce with Three Strands Wedding and Events, who made the day run so smoothly and was a massive help to me throughout the day. Never underestimate the power of a fabulous wedding coordinator!
